My name is Irawati Dewi (Ira). I am a Zhineng Qigong practitioner living in Maryland, US, with my husband and our two daughters.
My journey with Zhineng Qigong started when I was searching for ways to resolve the overwhelming heart palpitation and digestive issues that I experienced for a few months, back in early 2018. I consulted with a few doctors and after conducting several tests, they did not find anything wrong with my heart nor with my stomach.
I was then looking for a more natural way to heal myself. When I finally discovered Zhineng Qigong, I felt strongly that this was what I have to learn to heal myself. My path led to Teacher Ooi Kean Hin and Teacher Sew Pei See in Malaysia. I consulted with them about my condition and they recommended a few Zhineng Qigong practices, including big La Qi. Soon after practicing them regularly, I started to feel better, calmer and lighter. Subsequently, the heart palpitation episodes and digestive issues lessened and finally went away.
The healing power of Zhineng Qigomg fascinated me. I decided to continue my journey to learn further from Teacher Ooi and Teacher Pei See. I attended the M1and M2 courses, the Extraordinary Sensory Perception (ESP) workshop in Netherland and a few other short courses. I also continue learning more deeply in cultivating the ESP from Teacher Pei See.
What I have learned from these courses changed my life. The knowledge helped me understand that our mind and body are inseparable. What is in the mind affects the body and vice versa. I realized that the health problems I experienced back then were the products of my emotions, anxiety, angers and worrying thoughts.
Today, practicing Zhineng Qigong regularly not only helps increase my energy level, but also focus and perceive inwardly, being aware of my emotions, manage them and stay in clarity. All these have been tremendously helpful in dealing with day-to-day challenges. I embrace Zhineng Qigong as a way of life to bring health, vitality, joy and peace, and bring up our inner potential.
My greatest joy is to share what I have learned and to help others to feel better physically and emotionally. Therefore, I am excited to collaborate with my colleagues here at Shi-Discovery.
Besides having a deep passion for Zhineng Qigong, I am a freelance Indonesian translator and interpreter. I also enjoy playing piano, exploring new places and having outdoor adventures with my family.
